Newbury Walk

As I mentioned to Chris Bailey, I think there may well have been more visitors if free parking had been offered, but it's perfectly understandable that this wasn't offered as parking in Leeds City Centre is quite pricey! I wish I had spent more time there- lots of interesting stands and talks but I only had chance to visit a few of them as I was working later in the day- only just got home now. I have plenty of notes to review and reading material to get through.

I probably should have been more proactive in 'cold approaching' people too as there were lots of interesting people there. I did reasonably well though and enjoyed chatting. Brought my dad along (thus saving on the actual petrol money and parking spent by me) he had more time there and enjoyed it too.

Buy to Let

I've spent a lot of time this year researching buy to let, as well as practically dealing with a lying tenant (you may know who she/they are!) I have the practical experience of living in and having improved and home now but I really do want to buy my own home. I have the money to do it, but most of it is in shares and I would only sell some if I felt they were overvalued. I have decent ideas but obviously need more practical experience of buying houses. I will keep working on this goal and accomplish!

US Elections

This result shows again how you should trust your instincts and not 'polls'. The polls yet again are showed to be biased and not take into account enough 'real people'. They're possibly even biased and maybe purposefully biased. I could tell from the sheer numbers of people at his rallies that Trump was likely to win and my instincts proved to be correct again. Donald Trump is far from perfect but he has a lot of good policies. Interesting to see how this plays out...
