Howitt Share Team

Blasting this one out quickly...

I kind of think of myself and my shares as a 'team' in a way. I haven't sold any shares for over nine years. Nice and quick for you to read that sentence, but over nine years is a LONG time and very few investors haven't sold any shares in over nine years.

Sometimes some members of the 'team' go through bad periods. I bought some BT at 89p when they were having a bad time. They're now 484.5p.

Some LGEN were bought for 36.88. They're now 240.

Many members of my team today have gone up by about 4 or 5 percent... in one day.

I do believe that a lot of my team members will rise from here in the future. And I'm prepared to give them time to win.

Very good day/recovery for shares today. Up about £2000. Poker going well too.

Can I Manage a Six Figure Share Porftolio And Do a Job?

Hi employers,

One thing that sometimes comes up in interviews (probably if the employer is 'not sure' about me) is the fact that I have a six figure share portfolio. A few have been like... but can you really manage that and do a job?

I don't think the other candidates for the job have a six figure share portfolio. The interviewers aren't share investors.

The answer is... YES I CAN. I am a long term buy and hold share investor. That means it's up to me to spend as much time or as little time as I like on my shares.

I'd like to say WELL DONE to the good companies I've worked for (some of the best in Britain) who know that I can do sales jobs (for example) AND manage my portfolio. Personally I think it would be a plus to have a candidate who'd accumulated that much money... and was keen on getting more. Sure anyone can say they're 'money hungry'... but a lot of salespeople are too impulsive with their money and will never get rich.

Anyway I'll be ringing some more jobs up today!

Spoken to a lot of recruiters today and will probably do so tomorrow. Want an interesting job asap... as well as being a share investor with a 6 figure portfolio :)

Quick tip for recruiters- I don't even have to send you my CV! It's all on my LinkedIn. If it's an interesting job I'll still send it though.

People Lie AKA Gage Masterson Lies to Mark Howitt

Blasting out this one because it's been on my mind lately.

I think it's good I'm doing it while in a nice mood since shares up over £1000 today.

I've been thinking how much people lie recently. It's quite a lot. A 'typical person' must lie several times a day.

How much does it cost to lie? Nothing.

For about 7 years now to people I like and as much as possible I've been trying to say what's on my mind as much as possible and not lie. I mean there may be times where someone's asked me for some exact info sometimes and it's been slightly inaccurate- you could call that a lie but it might be worth saving the time to getting it largely accurate. Those kind of 'lies' are ok.

And there might be other times where it's 'ok' to lie aka if you were saving a good person's life for example.

But some people will just lie because they feel like it. Think Violet Rowan. And unfortunately think Gage Masterson.

In 2014 I was pretty keen aka desperate for a job. I was offered one by Gage. Looking back it's interesting to see he offered it on a self employed basis at first. But later he agreed to pay me. Only he didn't- I worked about 7 days for free and spent other time worrying about it.

Anyway, can't change the past and hopefully this will be a warning to others. It's like when you google Craig Joyce now in google you see the first thing that comes up is his assault on me. Maybe this will be near the top for Gage too.

So when you're talking or negotiating with someone remember THEY COULD BE LYING. Some people won't blatantly lie but some will. If you know the person has a 'good reputation' or hasn't lied to you before you could conclude there's less chance of them lying. But they still could. Remember to focus on concrete things like how soon you will get money when working for them.

Fool Articles

Checking out some 'Fool' articles... writers banging on about how... THESE STOCKS ARE SET TO SOAR... FILL YOUR BOOTS. Some writers do about 50 articles like this. Do they have these great shares? Nope. What you've got there are writers who just like taking the £45 per article... but aren't REAL SHARE INVESTORS tbh. You could call them share writers maybe. But a share investor would actually be BUYING these shares if he had enough money.

Oh btw... I'm up over £1000 so far today ;).
