Congratulations to Mickey Adams for rolling back the years and winning the British title for the SEVENTH time!!
It's like... Mickey Adams has been my favourite chess player for years. I don't spend much time on chess now but did watch some of his games. I thought there was about a 50% chance of him winning before the tournament... he's lost rating points recently.
The tournament was a typical Mickey performance... probably he is close to his best form. He never really looked in trouble at any point and produced his best game in the final round.
He really is a class act on and off the board! Hope he gets his rating over 2700 again.
