Yorkshire Elections

The election period is more or less over for me (apart from watching the result for my bet on Reform- prob not worth you betting on them now, the odds are too low)...

So this is my Reform friendly version and summary of my view of Reform in Kirklees...
Some people wouldn't have voted after how they've been treated by West Yorks Reform leadership but I have. I want Labour out badly.
I think it's important Reform really focus on deporting illegal immigrants. That's why it's HOPEFULLY been worth my time writing and supporting them. It's first time in my life I've PAID to join a political party. I'm not ruling out joining them again although there are other options...
Only my friends have seen my more direct views, yet I know there are good people within Reform. Many messages and support nationwide about how I would have been a good councillor and obviously I believe I would have been. I seriously HOPE no vetting from 'Hope not Hate' etc has been done and there has been one independent candidate I've endorsed in Kirklees.
I predict good results for Reform in Kirklees and think they will be the biggest party in Wakefield, Barnsley and Calderdale... amongst others.
Thank you to my readers for their support and I will be making sure Reform Councillors earn their money. There will be more political writing from me in future.

Elections

This article has been on my mind for a while now... so let's get it started.

I probably will be voting for Reform in May... yet am going to make sure I check out all the candidates properly. The two I have endorsed in public so far are not standing for Reform.
I know plenty of good people within Reform yet the West Yorkshire leadership where I am... not good enough really. I've even been censored from writing about them. When you have over 11 million views worldwide you always get heard- the full article I will post everywhere and will get loads of views...
It's lead my to my current position where I will not be renewing my membership in May. I've made offers to work with Reform locally in other ways yet no response.
The reality is in my ward Labour just have to be removed. If Labour weren't so bad I might not even bother to vote.
I've been into politics for a LONG time and have friends and connections who've been in it for a long time too. I would like to thank everyone worldwide for all the support I've had in my political writing. Many agree with me that there are few candidates as good as me standing in Kirklees.
I've had offers and support to stand as an independent candidate or one aligned with another party yet after a LOT of thought and analysis have decided for the greater good I will not do this. Again I've been putting time into politics every day... it's not even just a case of 'splitting the vote'- standing as a candidate would gain votes from people who wouldn't vote anyway, I would for sure get some, probably more than a current candidate who stood for the Lib Dems in 2024. At this time it isn't worth mine or my reader's time though.
Obviously a shame, as some Reform candidates in certain wards will probably lose where I would have a better chance of winning. I think anyone politically engaged already knows which party a lot of Reform Councillors and officials have gone to.
This gives me the freedom to be more direct in my political writing though- over the past year I have restrained myself to an extent. The 3 candidates in my ward I have never seen in a Reform meeting yet I will write on them more before and after the election.
Thank you for reading- I have great readers worldwide 🙂

Southern Sun

 Piece by piece

I release
Once was mine
Now undone
Turned blue like new
Orleans
And went down like
A southern sun
I still feel you
Beneath my skin
I am tempted
To throw my senses in
'Cos it's easier to fly
Than to face another night in southern sun
And your love is all around
Piece by piece
I release
Once was mine
Now undone
Turned blue like new
Orleans
And went down like
A southern sun
I still feel you
Beneath my skin
I am tempted
To throw my senses in
'cos it's easier to fly
Than to face another night in southern sun
And your love is all around
In the air to set me free
You last like a song
I'm deflated
I am pieces on the wind
Unrelated
I still feel you
Beneath my skin
I am tempted
To throw my senses in
'Cos it's easier to fly
Than to face another night in southern sun
And your love is all around
In the air to set me free
'Cos it's easier to fly
In the air to set me free
'Cos it's easier to fly
In the air to set me free

Half The World Away...

My love is like footsteps in the snow, baby
I follow you everywhere you go, baby
The palest light has come to wake you
But you will never realize
That I inspire the dreams that guide you, baby

You're half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say
And before you sleep at night
You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite

Your singing satellite
Your satellite

You're half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say
And before you sleep at night
You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite

I'll follow the winds that bring the cold, baby
I'll light a fire in your soul, baby
The lightest touch of feathers falling
My love may be invisible
But I inspire the dreams that guide you, baby
You're half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say
And before you sleep at night
You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite
You're half a world away
But in my mind I whisper every single word you say
And before you sleep at night

You pray to me, your lucky star, your singing satellite

Thank You

Just a quick THANK YOU post here... and maybe an insight into how it feels being an 8 FIGURE (over 10 million worldwide) view writer...

Views have been pretty surreal lately... like even when I haven't been posting my hard to get to blog https://markhowitt.blogspot.com/ has been doing over 3,000 views a day... from places like BRAZIL and SAUDI ARABIA where I've never been...
In this day and age you really can have a worldwide impact as a writer... you have to keep at it though... engage with good readers and just keep the flow real...
I've been at the stage now for years where I've written what I want without the need to get paid. I can't be bought. If you see me recommending a product etc I'll probably already have it myself. Readers can see my political views have been consistent for years and more UK people are resonating with that now... more political writing to come for sure...
Ideally I would like to be paid etc a bit more... support like likes are appreciated too... yet I'll always find some time for writing...
When I look at my Facebook friend list I'm honestly surprised how many cool people are on there... I'm choosy who I let on, I'm even choosy to extent about LinkedIn connections... yet some real winners there...
On the internet people can read things in their own time... and often I'll slam out messages at like 2 in the morning... sometimes people write to me at that time...
So yeah if you're a writer... stay true to yourself... create a flow... always keep reading and learning... and maybe you'll be an 8 figure writer too one day.... thanks for reading 🙂

Huddersfield have a storied history in chess. Its residents created what was to become the oldest chess magazine, and famous players have lived and played here...
Just like the football team however, sometimes it can be hard to predict the results when it comes to its current chessplayers. Sure, I did expect a Huddersfield win today... yet if you asked me at the start of the season if Huddersfield would win every single game in the Yorkshire league I'd be surprised.
As one of the strongest current chessplayers living in Huddersfield, I thought about making myself available for selection, yet told myself I hadn't trained enough. Holmfirth could have put out a stronger team than this. Readers worldwide should know that most chessplayers are NOT PAID for playing the vast majority of league chess, and may choose to do something else instead...
Truth of the matter is, many of Yorkshire's best young players were playing the British Rapidplay on Saturday down south. However... Holmfirth probably wished that some of their players would make a short trip to a venue they've played many times before. Greg Eagleton, defeated by the writer with the black pieces in 2004 despite some help from his dad, was no where to be seen. Isaacc Fossey has decided to play for Doncaster. Thinking of the future, Holmfirth could perhaps have selected Jacob Westmoreland...
A comfortable victory, and one that ensures that Huddersfield wins the IM Brown. Congratulations!
