So we agree. It is conjectured to be true based on our current knowledge of the game, but it is not 100% known to be true. We don't know an opening line that guarantees a win for white, just as we don't know an opening line that guarantees a draw for black. The game isn't solved

I very much doubt it will ever be 'solved'... even if magically a computer could work EVERYTHING out... how could a human memorize all that? Some chess GMs have near photographic memory and make mistakes... the average person? No chance.
