You always wonder how Huddersfield teams will fare when playing York away. The last time I played there officially....... well of course it was a long journey, and I think parking had to be paid for. I got a very nice posiiton with black, but it was a lesson for 18 year old Mark Howitt that chess isn't always played at the board with Neville Pearce noisily eating a cheese sandwich and chatting to other players during a match helping him to a win...... I've never actually played there in a league match since, although I did play the congress in 2003.
York seem to shift their teams around a bit so you can never be sure how strong each team will be. For example their C team scored 0 out of 8 v Doncaster (too long a trip I guess?)... but sometimes their D team has strong players. Looking at the teams here you would expect a Huddersfield win yet always nice to get the job done away from home.
