A quick update.
A new club is getting set up on the outskirts of Halifax. It is early days but we hope they can spring to life.
As well as this a (fairly) regular Friday chess and food event has established itself at Slaighwaite, with a mix of players in attendance.
Social meet ups are now more frequent, with a food and chess event at houses starting (Come Chess with Me). Yesterday was a meet up at a bar (O'Brian's) in Holmfirth to play some games and drink our way through £50 of free vouchers. As the only one not teetotal and the vouchers needing to be used, I was a little unsteady afterwards.
With the League expanding and recent success of our juniors at the Yorkshire u18s and county level, things are looking up.

I am personally coaching quite a few people worldwide with demand for coaching high... alongside my other coaching...
Lot of potential for chess and other things in Yorkshire....
