Post by David Gilbert » Mon Jul 03, 2023 1:40 pm If you've got time and some spare cash, maybe start by joining the ECF and entering the weekender or one (or two) of the rated weekday sections at British Championships. You're not going to improve if you don't play. Getting in ten or more games in a week at the British will at least get you on the rating list. PS: Don't hang about - entry fees go up after tomorrow. Current plan I think will be to play local league chess... already played some games etc with clocks at local club. Want to get some wins there... and hopefully in Yorkshire league too... Then... as soon as I'm ready... maybe a fairly local congress...

Hi... Quick FINANCIAL update here... I have been very lucky to have share mentor called Chris Bailey... you could also call him a finance guru or life coach. He is not right about EVERYTHING but he is right about a lot of things. I am going to do my best to get better with money and follow his advice more.

Paid The Cost to be the Boss

Hi... Quick one here... I want to deliver my best writing WHILE being paid/compensated for it... I think I've like earned the right... Writing a novel for 5p an hour... when you've done that there's not much that can stop you. Peak per hour writing has been £50 per hour roughly. At this stage in life I can't be like... restrained... have to let it flow... feel best is yet to come... in many ways...
