You don't get a badge for loyalty...
As a shareholder you don't get extra money for holding shares for a long time. Sure you get dividends etc... but a piece of bad news can see your money vanish...
I don't really have any 'loyalty' to any of my shares now... even though I've held some for over ten years. When the price is right I will sell them. I should have sold some a few weeks ago- I will trust my selling instinct next time.
Only be loyal to people or things who are loyal to you.
