Kirklees Reform

Here's the key point though and I'll prob post this in my other areas......

Just looking at the performance SOLELY last week of the Reform Councillors in the meeting... I can understand why some people would think they could not take leadership.

Reform are still the party that most closely aligns with my value in Kirklees Council yet Sarah Wood gave a v poor speech which was ridiculed nationally. She needs to focus on what she and Reform CAN do, not the fact that apparently she didn't know anything about procedure. The overall delivery from those I saw speaking from Reform wasn't good enough and I could have done much better, as could other people like Andy Wood ...
Let's hope for a better performance from Reform today

Big Sky

 I know this silence

Been here before
I’m walking blinded through your door
This is a sense of things to come
This innocence
Oh, oh
Breath in this moment
It’s come and gone
Further and faster through your soul
Open your eyes, embrace the dawn
Open your mind
Oh, oh
Release yourself, it’s a big sky
Reveal yourself, it’s a big sky
We love, we live, we take, we give
Release yourself, it’s a big sky
It’s a big sky
I know this silence
Been here before
I’m walking blinded through your door
This is a sense of things to come
This innocence
Oh, oh
Breath in this moment
It’s come and gone
Further and faster through your soul
Open your eyes, embrace the dawn
Open your mind
Oh, oh
Release yourself, it’s a big sky
Reveal yourself, it’s a big sky
We love, we live, we take, we give
Release yourself, it’s a big sky
Breath in this moment
Release yourself, it’s a big sky
Reveal yourself, it’s a big sky
We love, we live, we take, we give
Release yourself, it’s a big sky

Chatting With The Tories...

I've spent a lot of time researching and chatting to many former Conservative Councillors and members...

A few current ones...

Some are actualy GOOD people... some who saw about a year ago or less that Reform were more likely to win in their area than the Conservatives.

I continue to have these conversations. Remember the two billion dollar man Chris Bailey is a (former) Councillor.

This is taken from a Facebook post...

Key that the Conservatives work with Reform to shut down the illegal migrant hotel near Kirklees College. In Wakefield there are plenty enough winners to shut down the Cedar Court themselves.

I've actually given these comments a bit more thought.......

Thinking back to many interactions......

I have heard a LITTLE 'slagging off' of Tories from Reform members, not that much though.

Personally I've chatted to Reform Councillors before these elections who were Conservatives before... some have been fine.

Remember even Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe were Tory members once...

I never have been though. I'm from a middle class background enough to try and get on the Tory gravy train if I wanted but the constant failings of the government from 2010-2024... nope not for me.

So it's a bit of mixed view of them for me... some are fine like David Davies or Jacob Rees Mogg but too many are fine with waving mass immigration through as it gives them cheap labour.

The reality is if the Conservatives want to rebuild trust they have to work with Reform in Kirklees Council.

Yorkshire Elections

The election period is more or less over for me (apart from watching the result for my bet on Reform- prob not worth you betting on them now, the odds are too low)...

So this is my Reform friendly version and summary of my view of Reform in Kirklees...
Some people wouldn't have voted after how they've been treated by West Yorks Reform leadership but I have. I want Labour out badly.
I think it's important Reform really focus on deporting illegal immigrants. That's why it's HOPEFULLY been worth my time writing and supporting them. It's first time in my life I've PAID to join a political party. I'm not ruling out joining them again although there are other options...
Only my friends have seen my more direct views, yet I know there are good people within Reform. Many messages and support nationwide about how I would have been a good councillor and obviously I believe I would have been. I seriously HOPE no vetting from 'Hope not Hate' etc has been done and there has been one independent candidate I've endorsed in Kirklees.
I predict good results for Reform in Kirklees and think they will be the biggest party in Wakefield, Barnsley and Calderdale... amongst others.
Thank you to my readers for their support and I will be making sure Reform Councillors earn their money. There will be more political writing from me in future.
